Well, I always keep one ear to the ground I always keep one ear to the ground When you speak my name, a cold wind blows When you speak my name, a cold wind blows I want to watch you twist and moan I want to watch you twist and moan Baby, I’ve had my eye on you for some time Baby, I’ve had my eye on you, I said, you’re going to be mine I want to watch you twist and moan I want to watch you twist and moan I want to watch you twist and moan I want to watch you twist and moan

Winter wind haunts me again I see this place, I see your face Damn you and the cold, cold rain To hell with this, I’ll leave tomorrow I held you near, calmed your fears When you left this bed you stayed in my head Damn you and the cold, cold rain To hell with this, I’ll leave tomorrow Your fickle heart left me bitter and tart Down these tracks, no looking back Damn you and the cold, cold rain To hell with this, I’ll leave tomorrow

Boy 03:31
Boy, always kill them with your smile Innocence is never below your belt  Always, always keep your virtues hidden Ring, ring, ring that steeple bell I will never, I will never go away I could never, I could never stay I will never, I will never go away I could never, I would never stay Boy, I never saw the look in your eyes It’s damned, it’s hell, it’s fire I’ve heard the angels say, he’s the devil and he likes to play With his forked tongue, he’s a liar But I’d be damned if I tell you who you are

Gravediggers 03:55
Gravediggers work all night and day Gravediggers work all night and day They dig up the stones to make room for our bones Gravediggers work night and day So you can bury me in the cold damp ground So you can bury me in the cold damp ground You can lay me to rest in a cedar chest You can bury me in the cold damp ground Silver moon Shivering Hellhounds Howling Oh, my baby play her Torricelli My baby plays her Torricelli She moans, she sways, to the end of days My baby plays her Torricelli

Demons 05:01
Demons all around Statues turn and stare Their bones scratch at my door They're all around Rustling in the wind Speaking in tongues Pulling at my sleeves They're all around Let them go Oh Lord, let them go Demons, in the streets Walking beside me Whispers in my ears They're all around Let them go Oh, Lord, let them go No, your eyes do not deceive Do you believe? I believe Demons all around Crawling in my bed They curse and they moan They're all around Let them go Oh Lord, let them go No, your eyes do not deceive Oh, shadows, oh With their makeshift wings Do you believe? I believe

There will be times when you leave your home There will be times when you walk alone There will be love that gets lost in the rain, somedays There will be times when its hard to hold on There will be years you wish weren't gone You will find peace in heartache, when everyone you know has moved on There will be time to start again There will be time to forgive There will be ghosts that follow you, always There will be light at the end of the dark There will be hope inside young hearts There will be time to fall in love with the rain, again

Evelyn 05:30
Evelyn, lately I've been hunting our ghosts.  If I remember it right, it was 1995 and we were just two kids from the coast.  For days, we watched the landscape change, followed the rails from New Orleans to Memphis.  On our own, looking for a new home.  Looking west  I still have pictures of us when we were kids, I knew you then. Where have you been?  In that dark, there was fire in our hearts, burning through our blood and our flesh.  When morning came, there was no note to explain, the reasons you had left.  Through the years, you've reappeared, hiding in my memory.  Oh, Evelyn, lately I've been, hunting our ghosts.  Then you come to me in a dream, I knew you then. Where have you been?  I hear that train whistle blow, I knew you then.  Along the Mississippi blue, I knew you then.  Across the Great Western Plains, I knew you then.  Did you ever see that Pasadena sun? I knew you then, and where have you been?

OneByOne 04:26
Take these bones Take this flesh Become one Pull the petals, count your stars One by one by one Life is so frail, it’s delicate, it’s green It’s the pain in your knees It’s the truth you confess  It’s the tick in your chest It’s time, it’s falling Oh baby, I don't know the difference between Heaven and Hell With you and me Call me Devil Call me snake  Call me the Sun Call me, curse me, whichever One by one by one

Dove 04:21
All these days seem to blend into one Whether it’s under the Sun or the Moon There will always be a shadow trailing, trailing behind Dove, don't tell me no lie Your song keeps me wondering Dove, I will rest on your wire If you let me I’ll be with you when you take to the road No matter how far it goes, baby, I don’t mind I will be the train That takes you away, that takes you home I’ll take you home Dove, don't tell me no lie Your song keeps me wondering Dove, I will rest on your wire If you let me

Wishing Well 03:54
Wishing well, wish me well Throw my faith in what I can’t see Hard to speak, hard to breath  Where the light won’t reach Silver and gold sinks down, down, down Oh, an eye for the crown Wishing well, wish me well Throw my faith in what I can’t see Hard to speak, hard to breath  Where the light won’t reach
